everyone is welcome

My friend Kyle said, “I’m taking the family to the Philippines”

I responded, “That’s amazing, I think I may join you”

Later I said to Kyle, “Hey, I’m serious, I think I might come”

He responded with more assurance than I did, “I know”

It was an “I know” that doubled as an invite and a welcome expectation of me joining.

There’s a group of us who live with an open invitation into each other’s lives.  It can be spiritually, materially, or simply presence.   

Where one of us goes, everyone is welcome.
