What would happen if the mask was taken off?

What would happen if the mask was taken off?

If the vest were removed?

If the weapons were left at home?

If bullhorns were replaced with listening?

If enforcement was replaced with cooperation?

If hate was replaced with forgiveness?

If discrimination was replaced with impartiality?

If enmity was replaced with hope?

If fear was replaced with love?

What would happen if the mask was taken off…

And two humans, of equal worth and value had a chance to see each other, not through the lens of CNN and Fox News, or through agendas written on message boards and Facebook walls, and not through the eyes of a ‘caption’ on Twitter or Instagram, but simply… face to face.

To replace the fear that causes one to put on a mask.  And to replace the fear imposed on another because of the mask.    

To enable a human connection between two people, who although they have been looking at each other, they cannot see each other. 

What would happen if the mask was taken off?
