sometimes growth is stopping
In 2007, my sister and I drove across the country from Virginia to Oregon
I drove as quickly as I could so I could get there and get started with work
It wasn’t until years after I had gotten to Oregon where I realized all the beauty I had driven right past so I could stick to my plan of arrival
But now, when I drive cross-country, I drive as slow as I can, with as many stops as my schedule can handle
Because sometimes, growth is learning to stop
