I love to read but it’s a discipline for me to read fiction

I’ve always wanted to watch Lord of the Rings but said I’d read the books first

The books have sat on my shelf for years

I took them to Nashville with intentions of finishing all 4

I finished a third of one, The Hobbit

“Do we really have to go through?” groaned the hobbit. “Yes, you do!” said the wizard, “if you want to get to the other side. You must either go through or give up your quest.”

“Is there another way around?” 

“There is, if you care to go two hundred miles out of your way… but you wouldn’t get a safe path even then. There are no safe paths.”
