change is inevitable

Rachel Held Evans shares in her book, Evolving in Monkey Town, ‘When change is never an option, you have to hope the world stays exactly as it is so as to not to mess with your view of it.’

It’s a profound statement.  Change is happening around us, all the time, constantly.  I don’t think a lot of people like change.  Some are resistant to it and some accept its inevitability.  

But where one grows stagnant is in dismissing it.  Because to not change, to not evolve, to not grow, is to die.  

Yes, change can be difficult.  But without change, none of us would be where we are today.  And none of us would be where we’re headed tomorrow.
