polarizing

polarizing

We live in a space in time where it’s actually hard not to be polarizing.

Extremes try to grab at each end.

Attempts to label individuals and put their thoughts into a box, pick A or B.

I remember posting on facebook once upon a time to ‘vote and be nice.’  And somehow ended up with around 50+ comments of how I was supporting evil and hated certain people.  Conclusions made by not picking a side.

The most polarizing people are often those who choose not to be.

As Mike Cosper recently shared after the passing of Tim Keller, “We live in polarized times.  Tim was polarizing because he wouldn’t be polarizing.”

May we all be a little less polarizing.  And a lot more gracious and loving.

It’s easy to pick a side.

It’s not always easy to love those on both.
