I think most people would say that they want to make an impact. 

But most people are spending more time impressing than impacting. 

There’s a distinct difference between the two and yet they can easily be confused.  

Speaking from a stage, playing for a crowd, having something go viral are all impressive. 

Listening to someone’s story, sharing someone’s pain, holding someone’s hand... that’s impact.
