don’t be afraid of trials

On my patreon account, I write a ‘behind the blog’ consisting of what inspired me and the story behind each week’s blog.  A couple of weeks ago, I wrote on my behind the blog, “But shortcuts may get you to where you want to go but you might not be who you want to be when you get there.”  And I was like, ‘that’s rich.’

That’s the thing about shortcuts, you may get the same result as taking the long, hard path but you won’t be the same person at the end.

Is the view from the top of the mountain more fulfilling after climbing it or from flying above it? 

Is the job promotion more meaningful from your hard work or from cozying to the boss?

Is who you are developed from life’s pains and challenges or comfort and ease?

Don’t be afraid of the trials, embrace them, and allow them to shape your character.
