Embrace the Bumps
Seth Godin was asked: What advice would you give your 30-year-old self and responded, “I had so many bumps starting when I was 30 years old. They last for 9 years, and I wouldn’t tell my 30-year-old self anything. Because if I hadn’t had those bumps, I wouldn’t be me, and I’m glad I’m me.”
I think we’d all love a do-over here and there through our lives. Or maybe even a complete erasing over certain seasons. But a straight line doesn’t make a shape. It’s the highs, the lows, the roundabouts that make us who we are.
It’s okay to wish you had done something differently.
But it’s also more than okay to embrace your journey and embrace who you are and who you are becoming.
