Gardens Don’t Die

Gardens Don’t Die

When I moved to Portland, Oregon, I loathed it.  I moved here during the month of October and it rained nearly everyday for the next 8 months.  It was always gloomy, I rarely saw the sun and people told me to just wait for the summer…

Unfortunately for me, my internship would be done before the summer.  But alas, my internship turned into a job and I got to experience an Oregon summer.

It was as if I’d never seen the color green before.

I began to appreciate the rains in a new type of way.

Yes, the days of rain can be challenging.  But all of it is simply preparing us for something beautiful to come.
