The Struggle to Fly
The butterfly must struggle to escape her cocoon.
The struggle can get so intense that it appears the butterfly is near death.
And yet, if someone comes to rescue her, her death is imminent as she will never be strong enough to fly. She has to do it on her own.
It’s hard to avoid the struggles of life.
But it’s harder to have avoided them and then function as a person of wisdom and strength.
You don’t know what you don’t know.
You learn from the process, from the struggle, from the near failure or failure itself. But then, in the midst of the process, you begin to find yourself stronger and wiser, and equipped not just for life itself, not just for survival itself, but with the ability to fly.
