Part 2 - the seed

Part 2 - the seed

Mark 4:17 ‘and they have no real root in themselves, so they endure only a little while; then, when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately they stumble and fall away.’

I wrote down, ‘Take Root’, and I wrote the word ‘Space.’

‘Allow what’s been spoken to be watered,’ I journaled.  ‘Plant it in a space it can flourish.  Give yourself space.’

I allowed ‘space’ to be part of my mantra this past year.  It was an odd year.  I got a severe sinus infection in November and it didn’t clear until June after having to go through an emergency dental surgery, which also revealed where the infection had taken residence in the form of an abscess, bone infection, and a tooth exploding.

I don’t even know how I did with, ‘space.’  Honestly, I watched a lot of Netflix.  I came home. I went to coffee shops.  I didn’t schedule things.  It was a lot different from my usual lifestyle of scheduling things from 8am-10pm.  I just started coming home.  And I liked it.

Journal excerpt, August 3, 2018, ‘Decompressing / processing from the departure from (non-profit).  I don’t get it.  The more I think about it, the less it makes sense.’

August 5, 2018, ‘I had trouble sleeping, anxiety.  Literal build-up in (my) chest.  It’s like losing something so important and valuable with having nothing on the other side. This awesome thing is gone… and now what?’
