popularity means nothing

Most people seek to be popular.  But what is popularity?

It’s being popular, and that’s it.  It doesn’t mean you’re good, noble, the best, or that you even know what you’re doing. It just means you're popular.  

So rather than seeking to be popular, seek to be someone of character.  Popularity comes and goes.  Character remains.
