flawed and loved

flawed and loved

“The Christian gospel is that I am so flawed that Jesus had to die for me, yet I am so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me.”  - Tim Keller

Sometimes, it’s hard to accept how flawed we are.  And other times, it’s hard to accept how loved we are.  It doesn’t make sense.  It doesn’t compute.  It doesn’t add up.

And that’s the gospel.

It’s something that doesn’t make sense.  Unless love.

When we love someone, no matter how flawed they are, we would do anything for them.  We’d do anything to get to them.  To be with them.

And the gospel is exactly that.

That we are so loved and valued that no matter what flaws we have, we have a Savior who will do anything to be with us.
