gospel of a footstep

You don’t learn how to play a sport by watching SportsCenter every night.

You don’t learn how to follow Jesus by listening to a sermon every week.

You learn by practice.

It’s not so much about gaining more information as it is walking in His footsteps, serving the poor, the despised, the outcast.  It’s about forgiving those who’ve wronged you.  It’s about giving to those who have less than you.  It’s about sacrificing your own good for the good of the community. 

The next time you intend on listening to another sermon, consider instead, a footstep to serve someone else less fortunate.
