life isn't fair
There’s a quote I love from Naval Ravikant in Tim Ferris’ Tribe of Mentors which says “Ignore the unfairness - there is no fair. Play the hand you’re dealt to the best of your ability.”
Life is tough. And it’s not fair. We all have different circumstances. Different wealth or poverty we’re born into. Different giftings and abilities.
Some receive opportunities you should have received. Some are given something that should have been given to you.
And after you’ve done everything right... someone else gets rewarded.
But it’s all a matter of perspective.
Who said they got the reward? What trophy determines who actually gave their best?
Sure, life isn’t fair.
And life may not reward us how we would want.
But if you have done everything you can with the cards that have been dealt to you, your character and humanity will show that. And the reward might just be who you’ve become.
