More is not better, it’s neutral
Who doesn’t want more on their paycheck? More land with a bigger house? More friends?... and followers?... and likes?
But often, we are misguided in our thoughts of more equally better. As Christians, we are often misguided into equating more with blessing and the ability to be a blessing. Of being able to make more of an impact. Of being able to make more of a difference.
It’s not a bigger paycheck that makes a difference, it’s generosity.
It’s not a bigger house that increases your ability to bless others, it’s hospitality.
It’s not more friends, and followers, and likes, it’s genuineness.
More is mostly neither better nor worse. It is neutral. Who we are determines what we do with more or less. And who we are is not dependent on how much or how little we have.
