gospel of decision-making

gospel of decision-making

Often, one of the hardest things to do… is to simply make a decision.

Many of us don’t like to make decisions.  We would prefer someone else to tell us what to do.

The problem with that is, we also want them to choose something that we want to do and aligns with how we want to live.

The reality of making a decision is that every decision was preceded by how we decided to make that decision.

In the Book of Daniel (1:8), it states that “Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food”

Daniel did have someone telling him how to live.  And not only that, it was someone who had his best interests in mind.  But because Daniel had already decided how he was going to live, the present decision (as difficult as it may have been) was already made for him.

Our decisions often aren’t made in the moment.  Our decisions are made in how we have decided to live.
