Things that are Easy

It’s easy to say God is in control, when you’re not the one being mistreated

It’s easy to say we all share the same opportunities when you’re not the one being oppressed

It’s easy to say we all share the same rights when you’re not the one being judged by your gender, the color of your skin, your sexual orientation, or your religion

It’s easy to say we should all be united when you’re not the one being discriminated against

It’s easy to say ‘All Lives Matter,’ when yours isn’t the one being threatened

    It’s easy to say things.  What’s not easy, is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes.
